Obama 'appalled' by Foley murder, jihadist 'cancer' must end

US President Barack Obama said Wednesday that the entire world was appalled by the execution of American journalist James Foley by militants of the so-called Islamic State and called for a joint effort to eliminate the "cancer" of jihadist terror in Iraq and Syria.
