Chile: Special Military Unit to Investigate Abuses by Pinochet Regime

The Chilean government established a special unit within Army on Monday to investigate allegations of human rights abuses dating back to the Pinochet dictatorship. According to official figures, between 1973 and 1990, over 3,000 people were killed and disappeared.
