Argentina: Leaked Documents Reveal Macri's Ties to U.S. Embassy

With Argentina's run-off presidential elections less than 48 hours away, newly released documents indicate neoliberal candidate Mauricio Macri had an extensive and long-standing relationship with the U.S. Embassy. On at least five occasions he urged Washington to publicly criticize President Cristina Fernandez and had promoted his PRO party as the first truly pro-market and pro-business party in Argentina in 80 years.
