Mbetjet urbane dhe importi i tyre ishin ne qendër te diskutimeve ne seancën e parlamentare. Deputetet e opozitës kane kritikuar politikat e hartuara nga qeveria për menaxhimin e mbetjeve urbane, duke nisur qe nga firmat kontraktuese e deri tek taksimi qe i behet. Por ministri i Mjedisit, Fatmir Mediu, deklaroi se për këtë çështje ka ne fuqi 2 vendime te marra prej vitesh, kur ne qeverisje ishte Partia Socialiste. Sipas opozitës, përpara se bihet dakord për importimin, duhet te pastrohet vendi nga mbeturinat e shumta e me pas te lejohet hyrja e plehrave nga vendet e BE-se.
