64% e ujit qe furnizon qytetin e Tiranes humbet ne rrjet dhe shpërdorohet. Pikërisht për te frenuar përdorimin pa kriter te ujit te pijshëm qe privon furnizimin e rregullt te kryeqytetit, ujësjellësi ka nisur një aksion për zhvendosjen e rrjetit te vjetër dhe zëvendësimin e tij me tubacione te reja. Ne këtë mënyrë askush nuk mund te beje lidhje te paligjshme, përmes te cilave përdorte ujin e pijshëm për vaditje apo për biznes privat. Aksioni do te shtrihet ne zonën e Selitës, Kodrës se Priftit, Shkoze dhe pjese te tjera periferike te Tiranes. Por banoret te cilët merrnin ujin ne mënyre te paligjshëm tashme do te përballen me pagesat e prapambetura, pasi ne rast te kundërt nuk do te furnizohen me ujë. Sipas drejtuesve te ujësjellësit, zëvendësimi i tubacioneve te vjetra, ka arritur te ule ne këto dy vjet 10% sasinë e shpërdorimit te ujit te pijshëm.
