Jaitley attends ITAT platinum jubilee celebrations

New Delhi, Jan 25 (ANI): Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Monday attended the platinum jubilee celebration of the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT) in the national capital. Jaitely said ITAT is an important forum as it is the first opportunity a complainant gets outside the structure of the department of taxes to agitate his case. ITAT is a quasi judicial institution that was set up in January 1941, which specialises in dealing with appeals under the Direct Taxes Acts.
