New Delhi, Feb 29 (ANI): Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari on Monday expressed gratitude to finance minister Arun Jaitley for allotting Rs 1 lakh crore for the development of roads in the annual budget 2016-17. Gadkari called the decision historic adding that the Centre is committed towards infrastructure development. The minister further said that Rs 1600 crore alloted to the shipping sector will bring a major boost to the ambitious inland waterways project.
