NGT pulls up DDA on Sri Sri Ravi Shankar s event Part - 2

New Delhi, Mar 03 (ANI): The National Green Tribunal (NGT) on Thursday pulled up the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) for granting permission to hold spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's 'World Culture Festival' on the banks of Yamuna. Petitioner Manoj Mishra on Thursday said DDA tried to defend the permission that they have given for the cultural fest. Petitioner Anand Arya said the river is not for someone's personal use and no function should be allowed near the river. Lawyer of petitioner Sanjay said the decision has not yet come and the hearing is on. Defending the event, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's lawyer Akshima Nath said they are not violating the norms and have all the prior permissions to hold the event.
