BRITNEY SPEARS NEW GREATEST HITS ALBUM

Youre watching ClevverMusic, youre source for breaking music news. Pop princess Britney Spears has been teasing us this whole year about her upcoming 8th album. And now via Facebook and Walmart.com we learn Brit Brits new album will arrive very soon, on August 20th, 2013! The bad news? It wont feature any new music. The album titled "The Essential Britney Spears" is another greatest hits album featuring 2 discs. This compilation will Britneys third, following 2004s "Greatest Hits: My Perogative" and 2009s "The Singles Collection". According to the Huffington Post the album will be sold exclusively at Walmart and have given us a taste of the album track list online! You can pre-order the album for just $11.88 and get two CDs worth of your fav tunes. Disc 1 features early hits "Baby One More Time", my personal favorite "Toxic", also "Lucky". And on Disc 2 theres some newer tracks such as, "Gimme More", "Radar", "Womanizer", and her most recent collaboration with will.i.am "Scream & Shout". But to reassure fans that her 8th studio album is still in the works Britney shared on her Facebook page the winning formula for the upcoming album with a cute lined paper graphic which includes the ingredients, self-confident "Britney", damn-hot "Zone", and not that innocent "Oops!" And the directions below include an important note "Wait about a year" and end with "Pour the mixture into CD cases and cover the top with "Bonuses" stickers. So her new music is coming in about a year? Well, hopefully sooner according to Britney who tweeted on August 1, "Its coming sooner than you think ;) But this album is for my diehard fans so it needs to be perfect!!!" We already know shes been working on new music with will.i.am, Hit Boy, Naughty Boy, and songwriters like Sia, so we think were in for a treat when we finally get the delicious indulgence sometime next year.
