This cistern is also located near the old Hippo-drome and is known to be the second largest of the covered cisterns. It dates back to the 6 th century. In the rectangular ground plan, 64mX56m, the 224 columns arranged in 16 rows of 14 each sup-port the brick dome, (at the moment it can be visit-ed with the permission of the authorities)
