Nepal, Aug 05 (ANI): Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s newly elected government held talks with the Madhesi parties to discuss about declaring the people killed in the Madhesi agitation as martyrs. Dahal called the leaders of the United Democratic Madhesi Front to Singha Durbar on Thursday and held discussion in this regard. Sher Bahadur Deuba, president of Nepali Congress, was present in the meeting. The NC and CPN (Maoist Center) had signed an agreement with the Madhesi parties promising to declare those killed in the Madhesi movement as martyrs and to form a probe committee headed by a former justice to investigate into the incidents of atrocities that followed after the promulgation of the new constitution on September 20 last year. Madhesi leaders said that the eagerness with which Dahal convened the meeting was a gesture of good omen.
