Dassault nEUROn Most Advanced French Military Stealth Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle

The Dassault nEUROn is a stealthy, autonomous UAV that can function in medium- to high-threat combat zones. It’s heavily stealth and a large combat aircraft.

This high-end UCAV will be the mainstay of French Air Force’s combat UAV fleet. To reduce battlefield casualties and minimize manned aircrafts burden unmanned combat aerial vehicles are emerging very fast. Countries with sufficient resources investing heavily in the field. Defense industrial complexes are also giving huge efforts to build more advanced UAVs for the military forces.

It’ll be more advanced than US air force’s MQ-1 Predator armed drone. It has advanced avionics, can carry a wide range aerial armaments including 250 kg guided bombs. Powered by 1 Rolls-Royce/Turboméca Adour or Snecma M88 40 kN thrust engine.

Main builder is Dassault Aviation. Other participating defense companies are Italian Alenia Aeronautica, Swedish Saab AB, Spanish EADS CASA, Greek Hellenic Aerospace Industry, German RUAG, Thales and EADS France.

British BAE Systems Taranis, American Boeing X-45 and Northrop Grumman X-47B, Russian MiG Skat, Chinese Lijian and Indian DRDO AURA are the similar UCAV projects.
