Super Mario Strikers (Gamecube) - Intro & Gameplay

Super Mario Strikers was released in 2005 for the Nintendo Gamecube, and is also known as Mario Smash Football. This is another one of those Mario Sports games, like Mario Tennis and Mario Golf, but this one focuses on soccer. This is one of my favorite Gamecube games of all time and one of my favorite Mario Sports game. Its pretty basic and bare-bones, especially compared to its sequel, Mario Strikers Charged on the Wii. I actually prefer this game to Charged, because while I appreciate the general zaniness of Mario games, Charged is way over the top. Plus, I think its easier to play a game like this with a Gamecube controller, which Charged does not support. \r

This video features the intro and one match in Grudge Match, which is basically Exhibition Mode. I played as Mario against Wario on the Pipeline Central map. This video was recorded on the Wii, using a Hauppauge HD PVR 2, with an actual copy of Super Mario Strikers.
