http://www.chiropracticnyc.com Dr. Eingorn is a NYC chiropractor that treats patients who have herniated discs, bulging discs and problems related to joint compression. In this this Dr. Eingorn explains the mechanics of the DRX 9000.

What is the DRX9000?

The DRX 9000 is a machine that was designed for treating herniated discs, bulging discs and all kinds of facets implication problems, joint compression problems and stenosis problems in the spine.

It was really designed as an alternative to surgery. A chiropractor would only use it traditionally if the patient fails conservative management and there is no other way, other than having a surgeon say, “Let’s cut.” This design is an alternative and it is really a very good procedure.

It involves the concept of decompression rather than traction. There are many different ways that herniated discs have bene treated through history. like with the medieval type of traction, treatment has been done in pools. Inversion tables are another example of things that have been done to use traction to decompress the spine. Static traction has also historically been used.

The DRX 900 uses cyclical decompression. What it does is that tit can actually focus on one particular disc at a time, because of the way that it is designed to angle the pull. It is also designed to pull and then release, pull and then release, which allows that pumping action which creates a vacuum inside of the disc to start pulling in the herniation. The pumping action allows the disc to start absorbing the nutrients and excreting the waste by products.
