Battle for Mosul: Peshmerga say Bashiqa ‘cleared’ of ISIL

The Iraqi army operation is facing fierce resistance as it continues to try to push ISIL out of the city of Mosul.
But Kurdish Peshmerga fighters say they have succeeded in clearing the town of Bashiqa, north-east of Mosul, of ISIL fighters.
