New Zealand celebrates 2017 with spectacular New Year's Eve fireworks display

New Zealand is among the first countries to have welcomed in 2017 with a spectacular firework display from Auckland's Sky Tower.

Thousands of cheering revellers rang in the New Year there as multi-coloured fireworks exploded across the city skyline at midnight.
