Shocked students got more than they bargained for on a trip to Thailand when a 12ft SNAKE slithered into their school bus.\r
\r
The vehicle had pulled over in a park in Bangkok when the king cobra slid across the road and up under the bonnet of the vehicle.\r
\r
Luckily, some eagle-eyed passersby saw the serpent making its way into the vehicle and alerted the driver, who got the children off the bus and called animal rescue workers.\r
\r
But driver Khun Witthaya, 37, was more scared than the 12 international students he had as passengers and said he had never been so terrified in his life.\r
\r
\r
However, he had to be brave and help rescue workers free the snake.\r
\r
Video filmed by a student shows Mr Witthaya carefully prising open the bonnet before quickly running a safe distance away.\r

But the trembling driver revealed he has never been so scared.\r
\r
He said: “I have to admit I was a very afraid when someone told me there was a snake under the bonnet.\r
\r
\r
“I was shocked. Its the first time Ive come face to face with a snake like that.\r
\r
“I was the first one out of the van and the rest of the students followed me. They found it quite funny though.”\r

“Its important to respect and understand that snakes are part of the wildlife and to make sure they get back to their correct home,” a spokesman said.
