Despite being playable in story mode, he is not controllable in road races and other events in arcade mode, though he will occasionally appear as an opponent.\r
Luigi is a character who is the owner of Luigis Casa Della Tires, and a long time resident of Radiator Springs. Initially called Lou in early concepts of Cars, Luigis name was changed for unknown reasons. He usually has the role of a supporting character that assists Lightning McQueen and other characters by providing tires. He also makes frequent playable appearances in the Cars video games. He works with his business partner and best friend, Guido.
