Security camera footage has emerged from an underground station in China showing a member of the public chasing and tackling an alleged robber to the ground.
In the clip, which was captured earlier this month in Nanning, a man dressed in black runs down an escalator pursued by another man in a blue shirt. The man in the blue shirt drops his own bag as he gives chase and then quickly catches up with the man in black, tackles him to the ground and restrains him.
According to local media, the man in black had just stolen a watch from a shop belonging to the woman who can also be seen in the clip running down the escalator. The man in blue saw what happened and gave chase, according to local media.
The alleged robber was detained for 15 days, according to local media.
