Hundreds of people queued in Manchester, England, on May 28 to get bee tattoos as part of a fundraising campaign to help those affected by the deadly May 22 attack in the city.
The bee is reportedly a symbol of Manchester’s industrial past and people got bee tattoos in the wake of the attack to show their solidarity with the city and the victims; Charlotte Campbell, a mother of one of the victims, also got a bee tattoo in honour of her daughter, Olivia.
The event on Sunday was run by Sacred Art tattoo parlour: people paid £50 to receive a small bee tattoo, and 100 per cent of fund raised were to go to people affected by the attack, according to the parlour.
A DJ was on hand to entertain those present.
