A woman who walked past a bomb-disposal robot in Derry shortly before a controlled explosion was reported to have been left “shaken but uninjured”.
The close encounter happened at Glengalliagh Park on July 2, during a security response to what police said turned out to be “an elaborate hoax”.
The Derry Journal said that police were advising people to “respect” security cordons in the wake of the incident.
Video recorded at the scene shows the woman walk past the robot, shortly before the explosion.
