Snow Blankets Dunedin as Winter Storm Hits New Zealand

Snow fell at sea level in New Zealand’s lower South Island on July 12, a rare occurrence in the mostly temperate country.

New Zealand media outlet Stuff.co.nz reported flight delays in and out of Christchurch as well as road closures as a result of the chilly conditions.
