केन्द्रीय मंत्री स्मृति ईरानी ने राज्यसभा के सदस्य के पद के लिए शपथ ग्रहण की है। ऊपरी सदन में अब अमित शाह और स्मृति ईरानी गुजरात राज्सयभा के चुनाव से जीत कर आए हैं। उपराष्ट्रपति वेंकैया नायडू ने बीजेपी के नेता को गोपनीयता कि शपथ दिलवाई। संस्कृत में शपथ ग्रहण करने के बाद ईरानी ने नायडू के पैर छूकर उनसे आशीर्वाद लिया।
