How to use liquid mask - FG Audi A4 DTM Sportsline 4WD

2017-10-28 5 Dailymotion

Today I will be washing out the FG Audi A4 DTM shell, scuffing it for proper adhesion in a few areas. I explain how to apply your liquid mask, and show you how to lay on the coats needed. About 4 or 5 coats of liquid mask are needed to protect the lexan, before you start cutting and peeling. I also tell how I like to simplify my design by already ruling out certain parts, which are known fors, such as windows and headlights. The theme I chose for the car is inspired on RumBum Racing liveries, and I think it will stand out nicely on the grid once done.\r

The car was delivered with the BMW M3 shell, which I painted up in some of my other videos. Apart from the necessary changes to the chassis mounting points, I also installed the optional spoilers and wings, that will add to the realism and give this car the desired, true-to-scale look. Its wise to mount these parts before masking and putting on the design, because it will give you a better understanding of what the car will look like once completed.\r

The part numbers for the body mounts are:\r
08013 - Thicker mounts, front\r
03014/02 - Thinner mounts, back\r
07013 - Center mounts\r
The part number for all the wings and spoilers in white plastic:\r
04154 - Wings and spoilers\r
