Hey everyone whats up?? Just chilling over here. I been still messing with this Happy Chick Emulator from time to time. I use the G3S with the Happy Chick Emulator on my old Samsung Galaxy Core Prime and it works fine. I take no responsibility for any damage this may cause to your machine so please watch what you do before you do it. I play mainly older games and nothing that demands too much so I dont run into too many problems.I Figured it would run a whole lot better on the Shield. When I went to the happychick website to my surprise there was a TV app as well now for download. I figured this was for the Android TV boxes so I went ahead and downloaded it. After installation it didnt show up in my menus so I had to go to sideload launcher to launch it. Its pretty dope. You can still sideload the apk used for the phones and tablets but I figured this one would work a little better since it was suited for the TV setup. Im digging it and everything seemed to work. I did not use it with the Gamesir controller/s but rather just stood with the Shield controller. Upon starting a game I couldnt get the controller to insert coin for the mame/arcade games(in which usually the select works for this) as with the back arrow on the shield it goes to a menu which has a few options. I tried all the other buttons and still it did not work. Tried combinations as well. In the end it worked by hooking up my keyboard which is the logitech k400 plus to the shield and clicking on the screen which brings up the virtual menu which allows you to click the coin button which inserts coins. Upon game it seemed like the controller was working as it should. I didnt try any games that utilize alot of buttons though but for the most part it seemed to work. I could not choose the options in the right corner though at the menu home screen. There was one which had like a controller icon which I imagine might be the controller setup/configuration button such as the one similar in the app for phones and tablets. Theres also a Hard disk drive icon with how much space you have ( mine said 35gb) and two other options there that I cant remember. I tried to click them with the mouse and see if I could choose them but to no avail. I tired to see if the cursor would reach them by moving the D-Pad-Analouge Stick but that didnt work either. Other then the small insert coin issue and these menus not working it seems to be working functionally for the most part in game. Im wondering if the insert coin issue and the options in the corner of the menu screen will change/ivate maybe when the ual G3S or any Gamesir controller is connected?? Who knows. Pretty cool to see this version working though. I hope they can tailor it a bit more for the Android TV or more so the Nvidia. I like what they got going on with this and with a couple fixes, such as the things I mentioned Id love it, but then again those might not even be fixes but rather controller specific as such to those as the Gamesir line of controllers. All in all I gotta give it up to these guys.
