China reportedly tested a ballistic missile with a hypersonic glide vehicle

China tested a missile in November that is equipped with a “Hypersonic Glide Vehicle” or HGV. HGV’s break apart from the main body of the missile after it has reached its highest altitude. After they break off, they glide to the target until impact. An HGV is maneuverable and can travel at hypersonic speed.
