A watch and act message was in place for areas in east Melbourne, on January 6, as firefighters said a blaze near Skye was “not yet under control” and warned of changeable wind conditions.
The message came for residents of Carrum Downs, Frankston North, Langwarrin and Skye amid a series of bushfires across Victoria and South Australia sparked by hot weather.
