San Juan Residents Endure Blackout After Explosion at Power Substation

Residents in Puerto Rico were left without power after an explosion at a power substation on February 11.

Several municipalities experienced a blackout after the fire at the
AEE Distribution Center Monacillos, according to local news reports. AEE confirmed its officials were investigating the fire in a tweet on its official Twitter feed.

This video of the fire was taken by an eyewitness from his home in the municipality of Toa Baja, situated about 20 miles from the power substation in San Juan.
