Rare snowfall blankets Rome - and Vatican - in beautiful white

Romans awoke this morning to see some of their city's most famous sights caked in snow.

Video filmed this morning (February 26) from the Pincian Hill shows St. Peter's Basilica and Piazza del Popolo (People's Square) covered in snow.

An Arctic storm has brought snow to many parts of Europe.
