Lucky seal escapes jaws of a white shark

A lucky seal escaped the jaws of a white shark off the coast of South Africa and then hid under a boat.

“While on the white shark cage dive boat, we often see seals swimming past very fast but keeping their distance from the boat,” the filmer explained. “On this day, a seal swam right up to the boat then spotted the white sharks swimming around and sped off.”

“Seconds later, we witnessed an attempted predation by the one of the white sharks on the seal,” the filmer continued. “Luckily for the seal, it missed! The seal then took refuge underneath out boat for a few minutes then sped off towards the sanctuary of seal island when the coast was finally clear.”
