I planted one slip in May and it turned into a monster vine. I have read that a lot of top growth will not produce much of a root crop, but I did get some out of this, even though the vine was huge. Unfortunately, there were no other potatoes under the rest of the vine (only where I planted the slip). If I lived in a warmer area, perhaps the vine could have rooted down and produced more potatoes.\r

The sweet potato leaves with carrots/coconut sauce was my personal recipe. The shredded sweet potato was inspired from another website. I lost the link but have since found it and there are many good recipes on the blog: (I did not use a chili sauce and added poppy seeds to mine). It was okay but my sweet potatoes were still rather starchy. I think they would have been better if I had allowed the sweet potatoes to cure.\r
