A Quick Simple video on Dual-booting Android/LineageOS with Ubuntu 18.04x64 on an EFI System.

Your default partition layout should look the same as the one shown in the video.
/dev/sda1 is EFI and /dev/sda2 is EXT4 Ubuntu
Just run the Android x86(64-bit) installer (https://www.fosshub.com/Android-x86.html) from USB(I recommend https://rufus.akeo.ie on Windows, be sure to select for GPT Systems. On Ubuntu I recommend installing gnome-disk-utility, going to your flash drive, clicking the 3 Lines on the top right, and Restoring the Disk Image) or CD/DVD with UEFI from your EFI(bios) boot manager, and install Android on the same partition as Ubuntu(Skip any and all formatting) and install EFI GRUB2.
Android should safely be installed into its own folder under Ubuntu's Root. Just use your EFI Boot manager to swap between the two.
