Thank yall for stopping by! Although Im a big beef man, I do love some seafood- even sushi! But a good seared Ahi Tuna Steak is among my favorites too. What I love about a food fish recipe is also the sauce. I like a sauce with a little sweet and a little bit of heat and this blackberry jalapeno sauce is awesome! Get your cast iron skillet out and a good piece of tuna (not out of the can) and enjoy!\r

Cast Iron Seared Ahi Tuna\r

3 tbsp blackberry jam\r
1 tbsp minced pickled jalapeno\r
2 tsp Dijon mustard\r
½ tsp lime juice\r
\r
Add all the ingredients to a blender or processor and blend until smooth. Serve over Ahi Tuna. \r

2 (4 oz) ahi tuna steaks (thawed if frozen)\r
coarse black pepper\r
sea salt\r
2 tablespoons butter\r
\r
Heat a cast iron skillet over high heat for about 2 minutes. Meanwhile generously rub the salt and pepper on both sides of the tuna steaks and along the sides. \r

Melt the butter in the skillet. Add the steaks to the skillet and sear for 1 minute and 30 seconds. Flip and sear an additional 1 minute 30 seconds. Remove from the skillet and let rest a couple minutes. Drizzle with the sauce and serve. \r
