Next Media: Court doubles former Romanian diplomat's sentence over Singapore hit and run

A former Romanian diplomat convicted for a deadly hit-and-run accident in Singapore in 2009 had his sentence doubled to six years by an appeals court in Bucharest, after a prosecutor argued it was 'too lenient.' A black Audi A6 belonging to the Romanian embassy was involved in a hit and run accident at 3:00am on December 15, 2009 that injured three pedestrians.
