Several tourists are thought to have been hurt during the punch up outside tattoo parlour in early hours of this morning. A British woman on holiday has been rushed to hospital after being knocked out during a massive street brawl thought to be 'between English and French tourists' in Magaluf .

A local paper reported several tourists had been hurt in the mass punch-up in the party resort’s raucous strip of bars and nightclubs.

The violent altercation happened outside a tattoo parlour at roughly 5.30am today.

Footage published by island newspaper Ultima Hora showed a bare chested youngster - also thought to be British - exchanging blows with another man after landing the first punch before he ended up on the ground.
He had to be held back by other revellers as he tried to continue the fight in confusing scenes filmed by a witness on a mobile phone and watched by scores of other youngsters including some who appeared to be encouraging the two men.

Seconds later another fight thought to be linked to the first incident kicked off a few feet away.

A woman - whose condition was not known this afternoon - was picked up and taken to the side of the road so she could receive first aid.

A female partygoer could be overheard yelling “she’s out” - before adding “she’s knocked out stone cold” - as worried pals and onlookers gathered round her.

Another man could be heard repeating over and over in English: “Two people, two people, stand back”
It was not immediately clear how the unnamed woman tourist had been hurt. She is thought to have been with one of the groups involved in the fighting.

There was no obvious police presence and Ultima Hora reported local security guards had stepped in to separate the warring holidaymakers.

Civil Guard officers were not available at lunchtime today to comment on the number of injured and say whether anyone had been arrested.
Council chiefs in charge of the Magaluf area have been battling for the past few years to try to improve the image of the party resort and distance it from its Shagaluf nickname.

Punta Ballena was called “500 metres of shame” by a previous mayor.

June, when thousands of young Brits flock to Magaluf on holidays which revolve around sun, sex, alcohol and drugs, is usually one of the worst months for the sort of badly-behaving drunken tourism council chiefs are fighting back against.
