In this video, staff of the U.S. Embassy in Freetown--including Ambassador Maria Brewer--travel to Bunce Island, Sierra Leone for a dedication ceremony in honor of the Ambassador's Fund for Cultural Preservation grant to carry out urgent preservation at the site. The grant is being implemented by World Monument Fund in consultation with the Sierra Leonean Monuments and Relics Commission. The ceremony took place in December, 2017.
