Helicopter drops water to fight Saddleworth Moor in Greater Manchester

Helicopters dropped water on the Saddleworth Moor fire in Greater Manchester on June 27 as the blaze continued onto its third day. According to local media, the fire has covered a seven-mile area of moorland and at least 50 homes have been evacuated. Overnight, 100 soldiers from the 4th Battalion, Royal Regiment of Scotland, joined firefighters to tackle the blaze fueled by the region's dry and extremely hot conditions. Authorities predict that without rain in the forecast, the fire will continue to burn for "days or even weeks". The video, filmed at around 10 pm, shows a helicopter dousing water on the hills below.
