A fireworks barge on Lake Tahoe, near Stateline, Nevada, burst into flames in the early morning of July 5, hours after it was used in a fireworks display marking for Independence Day.
The Tahoe Daily Tribune said that the fireworks crew on board the barge tried, unsuccessfully, to put out the fire, which was finally extinguished by a specialized boat owned by the fire district. Credit: Nevada Seismological Laboratory via Storyful
