Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro has announced a new system of wages and prices rooted in the petro cryptocurrency. Maduro said august 20th will become a bank holiday in order to ease the transition to new currency, known as 'sovereign bolivar'. He also changed the rules on fuel subsidies. Lower domestic gas prices will only be available to those who register their cars in a vehicle census.
