Asian Games 2018: Jinson Johnson Wins Gold In Men’s 1500m Event

India’s Jinson Johnson claimed the gold medal in the men’s 1500m event in the Asian Games 2018 in Jakarta on Thursday. Manjit Singh, 800m champion, however, finished fourth with a timing of 3:46.57sec.

భారత్ పతకాల ఖాతాలో మరో స్వర్ణం వచ్చి చేరింది. 1500మీ. పరుగు పందెంలో జిన్సన్ జాన్సన్ సాధించిన స్వర్ణంతో భారత్‌కు మొత్తం 12 స్వర్ణాలు వచ్చినట్లు అయింది. ఫైనల్ పోటీల్లో 3:44.72ల కాల వ్యవధిలో అతను నిర్దిష్ట దూరాన్ని దాటగలిగాడు. ఈ పతకంతో భారత్ ఖాతాలో 12 స్వర్ణాలు 20 రజతాలు 25 కాంస్యాలు వచ్చి చేరినట్లు అయింది.
