Activists protest outside Japanese Embassy in London ahead of annual dolphin slaughter

Animal rights activists held a #stopkillingdolphins protest outside the Japanese Embassy in London today (August 31).

Japan has faced international criticism because its fishermen slaughter dolphins.

Every year in the town of Taiji, Wakayama Prefecture, dolphins are hunted and killed for their meat using metal poles.
