Shelves at stores in Hokkaido are still empty after a powerful earthquake hit Japan's north on September 6.

The 6.7 magnitude earthquake killed at least 35 people and left more than 400 injured.

Rescue workers, including armed forces, are still searching for survivors.

This earthquake is the latest in a series of natural disasters that have hit the country, after multiple deaths caused by typhoon Jebi, flooding, and heatwaves this summer.
