Typhoon Jebi, the most powerful storm to hit Japan in 25 years, killed 11 and left hundreds injured after slamming the western cities of Japan on September 4.

This video, taken on the day of the typhoon, shows a pedestrian struggling in the strong winds and rains.

About 3,000 tourists were stuck overnight at Kansai Airport in Osaka as authorities began ferrying and bussing people off the island as conditions cleared. The airport remains closed with no official reopen date.

"The government will continue to do everything possible to tackle these issues with utmost urgency," Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga said during a news conference late last week.
