A student-led protest at National Pedagogic University in Bogota, Colombia turned violent on September 13, prompting clashes with local police.
The demonstrations began at around 11 am in the morning and lasted for about five hours. Students were protesting in response to a new reform known as "Ser pilo paga", a controversial program announced by the education ministry in response to higher education accessibility in the country.
