Embattled Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, who is charged with criminal breach of trust and money-laundering in the 1MDB case, attended the opening ceremony of the Umno general assembly on Saturday night. The former party president and ex-Prime Minister arrived before the event proper around 8.10pm.
