Ex Lucknow CMO AK Shukla has been arrested by the CBI in the murder case of CMO Vinod Arya. Shukla was earlier also questioned by the CBI, but was said that he was being protected because of influential relatives in the Maya govt. CBI finally arrested him late last night. One may recall that n a major embarrassment to the past Mayawati govt, Dr AK Shukla, the former Lucknow chief medical officer was last year arrested on charge of embezzlement of funds meant for National Rural Health Mission and was also under the scanner for the murder of Deputy CMO Dr Y.S. Sachan in June 2011.
