Mahesh Jethmalani revolts against Gadkari; quits BJP National Exec - NewsX

Mahesh Jethmalani has quit the BJP National Executive Council over allegations of corruption against party president Nitin Gadkari. This makes him the first fallout in the BJP of the row over charges against Gadkari. Mahesh Jethmalani wrote a letter to the BJP President...which was released to the media.... in which he says it would be morally and intellectually inappropriate for him to continue in the BJP National Executive Council under Gadkari. Jethmalani also said that the BJP President's clarification on comparing Swami Vivekananda to Dawood...was not convincing enough and ultimately sealed his decision to resign. What is interesting is that Mahesh Jethmalani's father - eminent lawyer Ram Jethmalani has been a vehement critic of Nitin Gadkari... having demanded that Gadkari step down. Experts see this as the senior leader's protest through his son.
