Kartikeya Sharma Promoter of Pro Sportify launches Pro Wrestling league in India

With an aim to give the game a fillip, Kartikeya Sharma has formed ProSportify, which will first start with Pro Wrestling League and later expand into the business of sports leagues, not just in India, but globally.

Kartikeya Sharma is investing in the Pro Wrestling League which is set to grow up along the lines of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) and the Indian Super League (ISL).

According to Kartikeya Sharma, Pro Sportify will usher in a new era for the business of sports in India. “Our philosophy as a company reflects in our name – ‘Pro Sportify.’ Our approach to uplift and transform the sports will be thoroughly professional, but there will be no compromises with the basics and essence of the sports. We will also keep the culture and heritage of the sport intact. This philosophy will also reflect in our first venture Pro Wrestling League, which in spite of all commercial exploitations shall remain the real deal for sportsmen,” said Kartikeya Sharma.

The core team members of Pro Wrestling League are Brijbhushan Sharan Singh MP, Mr GS Mander - Chairman, Kartikeya Sharma - Director, Pro-Sportify, Ashish Chadha, Sunil Yash Kalra.

The much-anticipated Indian Wrestling League is likely to debut in November this year with organisers set to announce six city-based franchises. Pro Wrestling League is a big leap in the history of Indian Wrestling commonly named as Kushti, and has a cast of top Indian Wrestlers.

Pro Wrestling League is a major step toward development of sport. We will ensure that the League becomes the game changer for Indian wrestling. It will open up new challenges to the wrestlers and at the same time offer them much-wanted financial rewards. PWL is an innovative concept with a win-win situation for each stakeholder.

Double Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar and other star grapplers gave their stamp of approval as wrestling joined the league bandwagon with WFI and Pro-Sportify announcing the launch of Pro Wrestling League (PWL) at a glittering show. After the unprecedented success of cricket, hockey, football, tennis and kabaddi leagues, wrestling is also set to get a makeover. Well-known rapper Apache Indian launched the theme song of the league as the grapplers, flanked by models, walked the ramp.

The likes of Sushil, Yogeshwar Dutt, Geeta Phogat, Babita would now compete against few of the best wrestlers of the world on the Indian soil at the PWL, that is scheduled to take place between November 8 and 29 across six cities.
