In a new low, two constables allegedly lured three underprivileged, minor girls to their accommodation at Kingsway and tried to sexually assault one of them on Saturday. The girls were rescued after a resident, responding to their cries, called the PCR.
The two cops were arrested during the raid at the police lines housing complex to rescue the girls. They have been dismissed from service and a chargesheet will be filed within a week, police said. A case has been registered under sections 354 (attempt to outrage the modesty of a woman) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.
