Tumkur: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi will address an all-women rally at Tumkur in Karnataka on Sunday, a day after he addressed a rally in Belgaum where he attacked the main opposition BJP for rampant corruption and looting the state.
The idea originated from Rahul's views about the need to empower women and a realisation that this segment of electorate needed special focus ahead of the General Elections likely in April-May,
More such rallies are likely to be held in states of Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Assam, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh over the coming weeks, the Congress sources claim.
